72" Extra 330SC"
The 72 Extra, developed by Scott Stoops, is a model of the latest, greatest world-championship class full-scale Extra. It delivers that same performance in the very convenient 25% size. This design is extremely precise, featuring a long tail for very smooth aerobatic performance. The SC is tuned for extremely low knife-edge coupling, making knife-edge maneuvers easy and fun, even the last quarter of a knife-edge loop.

The 72 Extra easily accepts electric power or 28-36CC gas power. A canister tunnel is included along with mounts for a 30CC-sized canister, a 30CC-sized carbon tuned pipe will also fit in the fuselage. For electric power, 6S 5000mah or 8S 4000mah is recommended for 1800-2200W total. A castle BEC Pro is highly recommended






Setup for both videos above: DLE-30 engine with canister exhaust, 20x6 prop.

The Extra uses 4 full size metal gear servos, plus a throttle servo if needed. A second elevator servo may also be installed to balance a very heavy gasoline engine. All ball-link hardware is included, along with carbon landing gear attached to a fiberglass/carbon reinforced plate, wing bags, genuine ultracote covering, carbon wing tube, locking hatch latch, carbon-reinforced fuselage, aluminum axles, carbon tail wheel, and more.

For gas power, the 72" Extra is set up for the DLE-30 engine, and includes a firewall-drilling template for that engine and uses the standoffs included with the latest version of the DLE-30 engine. If you are not using a DLE-30, you will have to supply the correct length standoffs and drill your firewall accordingly for your particular engine.

We recommend the DLE-30 Rear-Carb engine for this aircraft, with a 20x6 (or Vess 19A or 20A) prop.

The 72" Extra includes a generic fuel tank, but the American-made Fortitude Fuel Tank is the best in the world and is a highly recommended upgrade.

104" AJ Slick
Andrew Jesky is one of the top RC aerobatics pilots in the world today. His long list of achievements in Pattern, IMAC, and indoor was crowned in 2010 with the USA National championship in F3a pattern. For the 35% size of IMAC/3D/sport aircraft, Andrew has designed the 104" AJ Slick 540.

The 104" is a no-compromises balsa/ply ARF aircraft. Because it is intended to be a true dual-purpose IMAC and 3D machine, this aircraft includes 2 sets of horizontal stabs/elevators. One set is optimized for 3D flight, the other for IMAC competition. Its design gives truly precise performance with excellent tracking and extremely crisp, accurate snaps, while its low weight and carefully chosen airfoil package give perfect 3D performance. The highly refined aerodynamic design gives very low knife-edge coupling, which needs little or no mixing.

The 104" Slick uses a variety of 100-120CC twin cylinder engines such as the DA-100 and DLE-111, but is configured to also easily fit the awesome DA-120CC engine. A tunnel is built in to accommodate tuned pipes or MTW TD-75 dual canisters. Recommended headers are 70mm drop flex style.

The recommended servo setup for the 104" Slick is QTY 8 high-torque metal-gear servos such as the hitec HS-7955TG or HS-7954SH, or the Futaba S9156 or S9157, plus one throttle servo. Recommended servo arms are SWB 2" single sided on all servos for a typical setup, although if a more nose-heavy CG is desired, the rudder servos may be mounted in a pull-pull arrangement using a 4" double arm.

To make transportation easier, the 104" Slick includes a removeable rudder. The height of the rudder when installed is 28". The height of the canopy when the airplane is resting on the ground is 26". See the "Tech Specs" tab below for more dimensions.

The 48" EPP Extra is the first in a new line of aircraft from 3DHobbyShop. Built at the world's premier EPP production facility, the 48" employs built up EPP foam structure with a carbon backbone, carbon wing tube, removable airfoiled wings, carbon stiffening in the wings, fuse, and tail, SFG's - which all combine to give superb flight performance and serious durability.

With the removable wings, transporting is easy and assembly at the field takes less than a minute. The Extra uses the most common sizes of battery and servos so you probably already have most of the necessary equipment. A magnetic top hatch makes battery changes quick and easy for lots of uninterrupted flying - and considering what a superb high performance 3D practice plane this is, you will want to fly nonstop.

The Extra is extra rugged, the EPP foam and carbon backbone technology mean you can survive most hard crashes with little or no repair work to do. Spring steel landing gear help soak up the hard hits too, while large free rolling wheels allow use from a variety of surfaces.

The Extra is recommended for use with our Omega 130g870KV motor, a 45-55Amp ESC, and 4 X Hitec HS-65MG servos. As rugged as this airframe is, you will want metal servo gears so that the servos are rugged too. A 3S 2100-2200mah lipo is recommended. 4S 1500-2200 can also be used. We recommend assembling with thick and thin regular CA glue, and repairing with Welder's glue.

Either as your next step up from flat EPP foam planes, a fantastic practice plane, or your no-worries go-to hardcore aerobatics plane, the Extras delivers with super-low coupling, extremely easy 3D and good speed and handling in gusty winds. Give the Extra a try, you'll fall in love with it!

The Bype uses a Hacker A30-12XL motor with 14x7 or 15x6 prop and a 4S 2450-3000mah lipo. NOTE: it is important not to use equipment which is smaller than recommended in order to be sure of correct balance. The Bype uses 4 HS-85MG or similar servos.

The Bype has a small footprint meaning it fits in most vehicles for transport fully assembled, but if you need to remove the wings they come off very quickly and transport easily.
